BT have had a change of heart and moved you
date to 15th December THIS YEAR!!! So in future don't believe BT!
RFS Update
I have contacted BT and asked them why our date is so far
away. This is their reply:
"It requires a
new CJ cable and the associated transmission system for the ADSL equipment. CJ
cables are the core cables which connect together Telephone Exchanges, and also
Major Customer Sites, within a zone."
"The anticipated
delivery of the cable is November 30 2004, therefore the Backhaul completion
date for Eastrington is scheduled at 27 January 2005. ADSL equipment
installation and commissioning will be completed for January 27 2004, this to
achieve a Ready for Service Date of February 23 2004."
It looks as
though the date isn't budging, so I suppose we'll have to wait until 23rd
February 2004.
Please note
the dates that BT gave us are in 2004, so if you want a realistic date you would
have better luck in sticking a pin on a random day in your diary.
We've Got A Date.
Eastrington now has a date for when broadband is going to be
installed at our exchange. Unfortunately it's 23rd February 2005.
There is very little I can do about the date being so far away, but if there is something that can be done I'll try my hardest to do it. I am trying to find out why our date is
so far away and when I do I will update the site. The long date is usually
due to building works or cables needing to be laid.
